Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

  • To increase SingTel’s revenue and market share in the managed mobility space through increasing ARPU and subscriber base.
  • To carry out analysis based on customer’s requirement versus quotes received to identify the best solution for customer. This includes identifying needs, conducting market research, analyzing trends and competitive landscape, analysis of value propositions, product and packages.
  • To work and negotiate with overseas telco as well as other business units to collect competitive pricing information and T&Cs, analyze trends and develop framework and models appropriate for the different scenarios/ segments.
  • To be the centre of knowledge for all matters and information relating to competitive market pricing, and to work with the appropriate channels in applying this knowledge to winning customers.
  • Manage customer's RFP; ascertain customer’s requirement and value perception.
  • Negotiate with overseas operator on price, package, VAS and acceptable T&C.
  • Be the one stop shop for consolidation and maintenance of pricing database comprising: list price, recommended price, floor price and cost as well as discount structure.
  • Develop master agreement with customer to outsource their sourcing activities to SingTel as far as managed mobility is concerned.
  • Build rapport with overseas operator and develop discount empowerment framework and/or strategic price plan framework.
  • Work with Product, Marketing, Bid Management to ensure timely finalization of evaluation, negotiation, award and implementation for customer.
  • Maintain and enforce the pricing framework – to check compliance - and fine tune over time.
  • Work closely with Sales and meet with customers to:
    • Understand the customers' business, behaviour and needs and value perception.
    • Market the products/services to customers.
    • Obtain customers' feedback.
    • Build up and maintain good rapport with customers.
Requirements:
  • Possess a business degree or its equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the support role especially supporting customer fronting units.
  • Creative, highly numerate, have good analytical and organizational skills and be business-minded and market-oriented.
  • Resourceful in acquiring industry knowledge and market information. Capable of networking with customers, partners, industry associations, government/statutory bodies to establish SingTel’s image as industry leader.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent in MS office applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • May be required to travel to meet overseas telco providers.
