Assistant Vice President, Tax
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing proper and effective withholding tax (WHT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance and advisory services to the Bank and its local subsidiaries. This will encompass attending to tax queries, conducting WHT/GST reviews and providing recommendations to ensure compliance with the Singapore WHT/GST legislations/regulations. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing and filing GST returns for certain local subsidiaries on a timely basis.
This role will also be responsible for assisting to maintain proper transfer pricing documentation for the Bank and its local subsidiaries.
Requirements:
Along with a Degree or professional qualifications such as ACCA, you should have minimum 5 years of relevant working experience. You have to be familiar with the WHT/GST legislations in Singapore, as well as able to interpret and apply the technical WHT/GST regulations correctly in advisory work. With the ability to work independently and meticulously, you must have good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Candidates without GST experience will also be considered.
